This month, Equator Books, located in Venice, Calif., will turn over one-third of the venue's space to new business Equator Vinyl, which houses approximately 1,500 records. The bookstore and permanent gallery offers 3,000 square feet of space for events; event staffing, valet parking, security, audiovisual equipment and other amenities are available. Decor elements include exposed brick walls, birch bookcases and a storefront open to the sidewalk. The bookstore is located blocks from the beach.
